Descripción
The Radwag® PUE 5 series is a versatile and powerful weighing terminal, combining the functionality of a PC with the precision of a professional scale. Designed for applications requiring up to 6000 e resolution, the PUE 5 operates on the Windows OS, allowing for easy customization through the installation of dedicated software tailored to specific customer needs.
Constructed with a durable stainless steel housing, the terminals offer superior protection with top-tier ingress ratings of IP66, IP67, and IP69, making them ideal for harsh industrial environments. Standard interface options include 2 × RS232, 1 × RS485, 1 × Ethernet, and 4 × USB 2.0 ports. The system also supports expansion with up to three additional weighing modules, enabling simultaneous control of up to four weighing platforms.
When integrated into dosing or formulation systems, the PUE 5 enables multi-platform operation and full process control—without the need for an external PC. All data management and configuration can be done directly through the terminal’s touchscreen display or via an optional external keyboard, making it a highly efficient and self-contained solution for complex weighing operations

Differences Between Display Technologies
Infrared Display:
-
How it works: Detects finger or object position by interrupting infrared beams across the screen surface.
-
Best for: Harsh environments, especially where users wear gloves or when contactless operation is needed.
-
Pros: Works with gloves, styluses, or any object. Very durable and resistant to wear.
-
Cons: Can be triggered by dust, water, or other contaminants if not sealed properly.
Capacitive Display:
-
How it works: Uses the electrical properties of the human body to detect touch.
-
Best for: Clean environments like labs and modern manufacturing where precise finger touch is desired.
-
Pros: Highly responsive, supports multi-touch gestures, clear and sleek display.
-
Cons: Doesn't work with gloves (unless specially designed), sensitive to moisture.
Resistive Display:
-
How it works: Pressure-based system with two flexible layers that make contact when pressed.
-
Best for: Industrial settings where durability and glove operation are important.
-
Pros: Works with gloves, styluses, or any object. Affordable and durable.
-
Cons: Less responsive and less visually sharp compared to capacitive screens.
