The IKA ULTRA-TURRAX Tube Drive is an all-in-one laboratory system that disperses, stirs, homogenizes, and grinds samples using a single compact drive unit paired with sealable, single-use sample tubes. Because every sample is processed inside its own closed disposable tube, there is no contact between the drive and the medium, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination and removing the need for cleaning between runs.
The sealed-tube concept makes the unit especially well suited to infectious, toxic, and strong-smelling materials, which can be handled safely under defined conditions of time, energy, and volume. Gamma-sterilized tubes with pierceable membrane covers are available in 2-15 ml and 15-50 ml sizes, supporting both individual samples and reproducible work in series across medical, pharmaceutical, food, and chemical laboratories.
