The IKA C 200 Auto package runs the C 200 combustion calorimeter with a completely automated water cycle. The water circulates in a closed loop and is held at a constant temperature by a recirculating chiller, which shortens preparation time for each experiment and produces even more reproducible results. This makes the system especially convenient for laboratories that run a low number of analyses.
The semi-automated, standard-conforming calorimeter determines the gross calorific value of liquid and solid samples. Long used for teaching and training at technical schools and universities, the automated water handling now makes it suitable for industrial laboratories as well. Four operating modes — isoperibol, dynamic, manual, and time-controlled — let the user tune measurement times to individual requirements.
