Laboratory Shakers & Mixers

Laboratory shakers are devices used to mix or agitate the contents of laboratory flasks, tubes, or other containers. They are commonly used in chemistry, biology, and other scientific fields to mix chemicals, solutions, and biological samples.

Shakers typically consist of a motor that rotates an orbital or linear platform at a set speed and amplitude, creating a back-and-forth motion that causes the contents of the container to mix. The platform may be equipped with clamps, straps, or other fixtures to hold various types of containers securely in place during shaking.

Laboratory shakers are available in different sizes and designs, from small benchtop models for use with individual test tubes or flasks, to large floor-standing units for mixing multiple samples simultaneously. Some shakers are equipped with variable speed controls, timers, and other features that allow users to customize shaking conditions for different applications.
