Description

The IKA Vortex 2 is a versatile benchtop vortex shaker built for demanding mixing work. A sturdy die-cast metal housing and silicone base feet keep it planted even at the top of its speed range, while active motor ventilation lets it run continuously without overheating. It is well suited to laboratories that need a dependable mixer for both quick bursts and extended runs.

The unit offers an infinitely adjustable speed range and supports both touch operation, where mixing runs only while a tube is pressed against the head, and continuous operation. Its head accepts three interchangeable attachments and seven inserts (for test tubes, microtiter plates, Erlenmeyer flasks and more, ordered separately), so a single instrument can cover a wide variety of vessels and applications.
