Description
The IKA Tube Mill control is the world's first patented batch mill built around a disposable grinding chamber, removing both the risk of cross-contamination and the burden of cleaning between samples. Its transparent grinding chamber and cover let you observe the milling process in real time, and the unit handles dry, brittle materials up to 5 Mohs hardness, making it especially well suited to seeds such as corn and wheat.
Safety was central to the design: the mill starts only when the hood is closed and the grinding chamber is correctly seated and sealed, and the chamber cannot be opened during operation. A labyrinth seal protects the drive so no dust escapes the chamber or enters the motor. All test parameters can be controlled and documented through the USB interface for fully reproducible results.
