Description
The IKA C 200 Auto Package features a fully automated water circulation system, simplifying operation and reducing preparation time. By utilizing a recirculating chiller, water is continuously circulated in a closed-loop system and maintained at a constant temperature, ensuring improved reproducibility and greater efficiency, particularly in laboratories performing a lower volume of analyses.
Designed as a semi-automated combustion calorimeter, the C 200 accurately determines the gross calorific value of both solid and liquid samples. Originally developed for educational and research applications in universities and technical institutions, its automated water management system also makes it well suited for industrial laboratories with modest testing requirements.
The instrument offers four operating modes to accommodate different testing needs and throughput requirements:
- Isoperibol Mode: approximately 17 minutes
- Dynamic Mode: approximately 8 minutes
- Manual Mode: approximately 17 minutes (operator-dependent)
- Time-Controlled Mode: approximately 14 minutes
The C 200 supports calorific value measurements in accordance with numerous international standards, including DIN 51900, ISO 1928, ASTM D240, ASTM D4809, ASTM D5865, ASTM D1989, ASTM D5468, and ASTM E711.
Operation and data management are handled through the C 6040 Calwin software, which controls the calorimeter, monitors measurements, and enables data export to platforms such as Excel, Word, SQL databases, and LIMS systems for further analysis. Multiple calorimeters can be managed from a single PC. Please note that a PC is not included with the package and must be supplied separately. The Calwin software is available as an optional purchase.
