Description
The IKA® HABITAT ferment sw 5 is the 5-liter, single-walled glass vessel package for the IKA HABITAT research bioreactor, configured for fermentation (microbial) applications. It pairs the vessel with the matching stirring drive and a full sensor set — temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), level, and foam — along with the connection accessories needed to run it. For aggressive microbial cultures it is fitted with twin Rushton 6-blade impellers, a ring sparger, and a baffle for high gas transfer and mixing. Temperature control is provided through an in-medium cooling finger (recommended with an IKA chiller such as the RC 2) together with the included heating blanket. Combined with a separately available HABITAT control tower package (for example HABITAT ferment), it provides the components for a complete fermentation workflow.
