Description

The C 200 h Auto Package combines the proven performance of the C 200 combustion calorimeter with a fully automated water circulation system, providing greater convenience, reduced preparation time, and improved operational efficiency. A recirculating chiller maintains a constant water temperature within a closed-loop system, ensuring reliable test conditions, faster experiment setup, and highly reproducible results. This makes the system particularly beneficial for laboratories with lower sample throughput.

The semi-automated combustion calorimeter is designed to determine the gross calorific value of both liquid and solid samples in compliance with recognized international standards. While traditionally used in educational and research environments such as universities and technical institutions, the automated water management system also makes it an excellent solution for industrial laboratories conducting a limited number of analyses.

Included with the package is the C 5012 decomposition vessel, specifically engineered for the combustion of samples containing high levels of halogens and sulfur (>3%). Constructed from corrosion-resistant Hastelloy, the vessel withstands aggressive sample matrices with elevated chlorine content. Its catalytically activated inner surface enhances the recovery of halogens and sulfur following combustion, making it ideal for applications requiring subsequent elemental analysis.

To accommodate varying testing requirements, the C 200 offers four selectable operating modes:

  • Isoperibol Mode: approximately 17 minutes
  • Dynamic Mode: approximately 8 minutes
  • Manual Mode: approximately 17 minutes (operator dependent)
  • Time-Controlled Mode: approximately 14 minutes

The system supports calorific value determination in accordance with major international standards, including DIN 51900, ISO 1928, ASTM D240, ASTM D4809, ASTM D5865, ASTM D1989, ASTM D5468, and ASTM E711.

The optional C 6040 CalWin software provides complete instrument control, real-time measurement monitoring, and comprehensive data management. Test results can be exported to applications such as Excel, Word, SQL databases, and LIMS platforms for further processing and reporting. Multiple calorimeters can be operated from a single PC. Please note that a PC is not included with the package and must be supplied separately. CalWin software is sold separately.
