The Benchmark BenchMixer XLQ™ Multitube Vortexer is designed for QuEChERS and other sample prep methods, replacing traditional manual shaking. It comes with racks for 50 mL tubes held horizontally and 15 mL and 1.5/2 mL tubes held vertically, allowing multiple samples to be processed simultaneously. This saves time, reduces operator fatigue, and ensures consistent exposure across all samples.
The XLQ generates a true vortex in vertical racks by keeping the tube top stationary while the bottom rotates in a 3.6 mm orbit. Speed and time are digitally controlled, and a pulse mode enables more vigorous mixing. Its precision-balanced drive system and powerful motor ensure quiet operation, minimal vibration, and long service life.
Loading samples is simple: loosen the knobs on the steel rods, lift and swivel the top plate, load the samples, lower the plate, tighten the knobs, then set speed and time on the digital panel. The XLQ can run unattended from 1 minute up to 100 hours. While optimized for QuEChERS, additional racks can accommodate almost any lab vessel.
