The IKA C 200 h is a space-saving, standard-conforming combustion calorimeter that determines the gross calorific value of liquid and solid samples. Designed for teaching and training at technical schools and universities, its semi-automated isoperibol mode also makes it a good fit for industrial laboratories with a lower volume of analyses.
This halogen-resistant configuration ships with the catalytically activated C 5012 decomposition vessel, built from Hastelloy to resist corrosion from high-chlorine samples and to raise recovery rates when halogens or sulfur (over 3 %) must be analyzed. Water and oxygen handling are performed manually, and the water-handling system can later be automated with the separately available C 200.RC hose set and RC 2 basic recirculating chiller. Four operating modes — isoperibol, dynamic, manual, and time-controlled — let the user tune measurement times to individual needs.
