Description
Benchmark Scientific's UV Clave with Short-wave UV-C light is a highly effective way to disinfect surfaces by inactivating DNA, RNA, and microorganisms. The UVClave chamber delivers powerful, focused UV-C irradiation to sterilize laboratory tools, containers, and other research items, eliminating up to 99% of surface contaminants.
Unlike conventional UV chambers, the UVClave features high-intensity UV-C lamps positioned on both the top and bottom. Paired with a proprietary shelf that transmits over 90% of UV-C light and reflective interior walls, this design ensures true 360° exposure with no shadowed or untreated areas.
The exposure time is fully adjustable to suit different needs. An optional heating cycle is also available to help dry items that have been washed or chemically treated before placement in the chamber.
For user safety, the chamber includes an automatic shut-off feature that prevents UV operation when the door is open. Optional exposure indicator strips are also available to verify that adequate UV doses have been delivered
